Ceejay Systems (SV) Ltd has been supplying high quality Recovery Equipment to the industry for the last 15 years.

Chris Jones started the business in early 1990, with one employee. Chris says, “The recession started about a week after we did, I think John Major blamed me personally!”

Ceejays struggled for the first couple of years in order to gain a foothold in a very competitive industry. “I was working 24/7 at the beginning only to find that for the first couple of years we made a loss, in fact I found that if I stayed at home we lost less money!”

With shear determination and a solid belief in the product, Ceejays gradually grew during the nineties picking up contracts from the AA, MOD and Police Forces. “We even picked up a contract with the Dubai Mercedes dealer to stretch 54 “E” Class Limousines, although this was outside of our normal remit, we have the facilities and expertise to undertake such a project.

For several years Ceejays has been the sole UK importer of American Jerr Dan equipment. Designed to compliment Ceejays exciting product range, the deal with Jerr Dan gives Ceejays one of the biggest product ranges and customer choices in the UK.

Since 1990 Ceejay Systems have become a premier supplier of RTA vehicles with the distributor relationship of Fassi lorry loader cranes. We offer a complete service of purchase, installation, service and qualified ALLMI training programs.

In 2003 Ceejays purchased Warwick Trailers. Based on the same site as Ceejays this new acquisition gives Ceejays some 48,000 Sq Ft of factory space and nearly 60 staff. “Our production levels can fluctuate between the two companies, if one is busier than the other, production can be manoeuvred between the two”.

2008 sees the continuing product development by Ceejays. The use of more and more stainless steel, aluminium and composite materials is designed to give longevity to all conversions, thus giving a higher resale value long term. Composite locker systems are now available for all standard spectacle and underlift chassis from 2 Ton - 60 Ton capacity. A new range of aluminium platforms was launched in January along with a sliding canopy for covered transport of which Ceejays already have orders for six.

With serious investment in staff, premises and equipment, Ceejays are here to stay.
